It’s as easy as making a phone call

Living in the state of perennially late to decide on pressing issues Senator George Voinovich (at right about 15 years ago), I’ve made more than my fair share of phone calls to his Hart Senate Office in hope of swaying his decisions. I’ve seldom succeeded - the only common ground I seem to find with the senator is his belief in a balanced budget - but hope springs eternal as he is one of the remaining U.S. Senators who needs to make up his mind on the voting for or against cloture on the immigration legislation currently under consideration in the Senate. If cloture is passed, debate will end and the legislation will be brought to a railroaded vote by all of those in Washington who don’t give a damn about what we the people think.
If (like me) you hate this amnesty legislation, please call Senator Voinovich’s office at (202) 222-3353 and tell him to vote no on cloture. The longer you wait on hold and tie up the line is one less amnesty advocate who can get through.
