Did anybody catch Jim Gilmore on Morning Joe?

This morning as I was wandering to the kitchen for my 4th (or was it 5th?) cup of coffee I happened to catch former Virginia governor and current GOP presidential candidate Jim Gilmore on msNBC’s “Morning Joe” (the temporary Full Time replacement for Imus).

Pinch hitting for host Joe Scarborough was newsreader Mika Brezinski (the daughter of former Carter White House National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brezinski). Interesting about the conversation was the revealing banter about familial ties and Gilmore’s extensive knowledge of international affairs. Unlike every other governor-experienced candidate in the race (with the exception of Democrat Bill Richardson and his UN background), Governor Gilmore understands how the world works and what will be necessary for the United States to regain it’s footing internationally after the last two terms of unilateral diplomacy.

With the looming diplomatic crisis in Iran and Gilmore’s recently announced National Property Rights Initiative, look for the governor to get some more much-deserved airtime.
