Some previews for the weekend

As most of you know, we go pretty light on the posts here during the weekend. We always put up a book review on Saturdays in the Book Nook (tomorrow look for my review of Eric Burns’ Infamous Scribblers - The Founding Fathers and the Rowdy Beginnings of American Journalism - a great book that I’ve been wanting to discuss for some time) and on the Main Page we offer a “best of” listing from the week as well as an entertaining piece of video.

This week we’ve got something special planned for Father’s Day. I’ve been knocking around an essay in my head for the last few weeks and barring the freak fatal bus accident, or a vicious hang-over from friends Chris and Julie’s wedding bash we’ll have something up that I think you’ll enjoy reading.
