the reason the liberals detest cheney so much is that he kicks their azz everytime they attempt to engage him in an intelligent discussion. cheney rocks! i loved the line that he uttered in response joe liebermann in the 2000 vp debate. liebermann indicated that his wife, hadasa, envied people like the cheneys who had propsered so in the private sector. cheney responded: “joe, that’s exactly where george bush and I intend to send ya.” while liebermann tried to portray cheney as an elitist who was outta touch with mainstreet america, cheney nailed him and got no credit for the line ala reagan to mondale in 84 (exploit mondale’s youth and inexperience) or lloyd bentson to dan quayle in 88 (you’re no jack kennedy). i think cheney’s retort to liebermann was as devastating to gore/liebermann as were those others which continue to receive media play today. the media HATES Cheney. that’s one reason i like him, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
