The kosher candidate

I’ve been deluged lately by McCainiac emails suggesting to me that I should be more supportive of their chosen candidate’s aversion to government pork. Apparently they didn’t take too kindly to my post last week about being a little ticked at the McCain campaign for their less than easy to follow web links. This coupled with the barrage of soundbytes from last week’s debate showing McCain saying that he’ll veto the first pork-filled piece of legislation that crosses his White House desk has led me to declare the Arizona senator as the “kosher candidate” for the 2008 presidential race.

Frankly, I think we could use a few more “kosher” politicians in government. The prevalence of pork-barrel spending is obscene. Here’s one place where you can go to see government largesse on display.

The only question now is whether or not friends and legislative co-sponsors like Joe Lieberman and Russ Feingold will jump on board the kosher express.
