BTW I ran for County Commissioner last time because I was asked. I would have preferred to run for a state legislative seat, but the party needed someone for the county ticket, so I took one for the team. I would much prefer the opportunity to voice my opinions within the party, but since the chairman controls every committee assignment (many of which I have offered to serve on) I am denied the forum.
