Tell Imus to go to Iraq

I’m a huge fan of Don Imus. He embodies all things curmudgeon (and since I’ve begun to become one, I must have a hero). In any case, it was suggested earlier in the week on his program (syndicated nationally and heard on the radio at WFAN as well seen via simulcast on msNBC) by NBC Nightly News Anchor Brian Williams that Imus should visit Iraq and broadcast from there.

Imus who has been vehemently opposed to the war in Iraq, but a huge supporter of the troops as a lead fundraiser for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, was ambivalent about the idea initially, but over the last few days, he’s been mulling it over.

I think he should go.

Not because I’m expecting him to change his opinion on the war, but because I think it would send a much needed message to our troops that regardless of where Americans stand on the war, we all stand with our troops.

Click on the button and send an email to Imus. Tell him to go to Iraq. Even better, cut and paste the button on to your own site and help spread the word.

You got nuthin to do for 2 weeks Imus. You might as well help the troops out and have something to say in 2 weeks. Take that medal of honor guy Jack with you and he’ll steer you right.
