Junkmail from Rush Limbaugh
I don’t know about you, but we get an awful lot of junkmail at our house. It used to be just my wife Kathy and I who received it, and now our four year old daughter Paige gets her fair share. Heck, we’ve even gotten a few things for the dogs (alas nothing for the cat).
Because the stuff that comes to me is usually related to work and politics, I keep a stack of it on the shelf next to the door of my office which is conveniently located next to the bathroom. So when the spirit moves me, I usually grab a few things from the pile to occupy me while I’m taking care of business.
Today I happened upon this gem from the self-proclaimed “Doctor of Democracy” Rush Limbaugh:

I wonder to whose avalanche of lies Rush was referring.

Conservative “talk radio” was born when Reagan deregulated the Fairness Doctrine, which was called truth in broadcasting, because it required equal time for the opposition in political debate.
My fear is that conservative hosts, unqualified to speak on subjects like global warming, can demonize the experts and have their ignorant base voting against truth. That means in America, the knowledgeable are discredited, and the bottom of the barrel is stirred to the top, instead of America getting the cream of the crop.

Good point David, but to take it one step further, it’s not just unqualified conservatives speaking on matters they don’t understand that should concern us. We should also be weary of liberals who do the same (ie. - Who made Rosie O’Donnell, Sean Penn or my favorite Charlie Sheen an expert on anything?).
