W, Fitzgerald is a political hack. His “investigation” into the leaking of the identity of Plame as a CIA Op closed after getting only an obstruction charge, one false statement to the FBI and two perjury counts. Why didnt Fitzgerald go after the leaker of Plame’s identity–the alleged crime that started the investigation? Fitzgerald, despite his portrayal in the press, is not a golden boy. I would agree that Fitzgerald’s legal skills are not exemplary, but perhaps that is why the White House was so complimentary when he was assigned the task. Let him pick the low hanging fruit and forget about anybody else.
