You’ve got to love living in the NRZ (No Representation Zone). If we can’t get decent representation in Congress at least our proxies can add some levity to the political discourse - and that’s been the mantra for the people of Ohio’s 10th Congressional House district since long before conman Dennis Kucinich assumed the position (so to speak).

It began in the early 1990’s when Mary Rose Oakar (who in hindsight was pretty effective in her job - just look at what’s followed) was bounced by ethics charges in favor of lounge singing Martin Hoke (famous for his election night rendition of ”Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” when he beat Ms. Oakar).  Additional Hoke-lore from Wikipedia:

Shortly after taking office in 1993, he was quoted in an interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd as saying “I could date (Representatives) Maria Cantwell or Blanche Lambert - they’re hot.” When preparing to provide a response for a Cleveland television station after Bill Clinton’s 1994 State of the Union address, Hoke was caught making a comment about a station producer’s breasts over an open microphone. The remark was made in front of his fellow Congressman, Eric Fingerhut, who reportedly blushed from the remark. Hoke expressed relief to a newspaper reporter when an escaped murderer went on a killing spree, knocking Hoke’s gaffe off the front pages.

Hoke lasted two terms and was replaced by the conman in 1996.  The jokes didn’t stop with Hoke though, they’ve only become worse - and they’ve helped to vault local voters’ ineptitude onto the national stage.  Here’s the latest vaudevillian act from the conman -

Kucinich claims that he has ”no strings attached” and after watching his antics at the AFSCME forum in Carson City, I’d have to disagree.  Because of his one dimensional populist-styled campaign he’s become a puppet for the far left.

Since his Quixotic quest for legitimacy began in 2004, he hasn’t met a nut job cause that he won’t embrace.  His closing statement reminds me of another puppet who wanted to claim his independence - Pinocchio (as in “I’m a real boy, I’m a real boy“).  Only in the case of the conman he’s been clamoring for a legitimacy that he will never attain.

Perhaps the best thing that can happen for those of us living in the NRZ is that the conman is too busy galavanting around the country to set his depraved sights on us.  God help the rest of America.
