24; Day 6: 3PM - 4PM
The following takes place after the airing of each new episode of 24 on FOX…
After last week’s two hour thrill ride the show’s writers went back to laying the foundation for the next big roller coaster drop. The tenth hour installment of 24 followed the usual formula of past seasons with a lull to develop the story’s fabric and lend some insight into character histories and current motivations.

What’s next? I don’t know, but I can’t wait.
My things for this week:
- As I’ve been saying, Logan’s resurfacing and his association to Phillip (remember it was Phillip who left the phone for Jack) indicate that they were both involved in Jack’s release from the Chinese. There will also be more backstory coming on the relationship that Logan, Phillip and the Russian separatists developed last season.
- Enough time has passed for Karen Hayes to make it to Los Angeles and get involved at CTU. Look for friction between her and Bill Buchanan as to who’s in charge.
- Who’s behind this assassination plot of the president? It’s not the Arabs, and it could be the Russians, but ultimately it will be Americans (for some reason every season we end up being our own worst enemies).
- Follow the Russian separatist thread… it will lead to Americans hoping to fuel a volatile Asia. This will cause China to arm themselves and create more business for arms dealers like… Phillip Bauer. But that’s not where this tread will end. This group trying to assassinate Palmer will be a bunch of self-proclaimed patriots who believe that the USA has become militarily weak in the absence of a Cold War style superpower foe. And that leads us back to China.
- Look for Milo to be Jack’s new Tony Almeida. He’s not a field guy, but his quick thinking in protecting Marilyn will make him Jack’s occasional foil and occasional goto guy.
- Morris will perform some needless kind of heroic act to make up for his self pity and end up dying which means that Chloe will end up with Milo.
- Assad will die saving the president’s life and his act will motivate Americans to see Muslims in a new light.
That’s all I’ve got. Now for something to hold you over -
Thanks as always to FOX for the video. See you next hour!
