The following takes place following the airing of each new episode of 24 on FOX…

After two weeks of Jack etal pussy footing around, finally some killing albeit without any explosions or significant special effects.  Last night’s seventh hour got us moving into the meat of this season’s storyline.  Jack’s bad little brother Graem is dead (thanks to the hand of family patriarch Phillip Bauer) and AS I SUGGESTED two weeks ago, Morris was abducted by Darren McCarthy and will likely be coerced by Fayed into programming the remaining nuclear devices.

The two strong plot points last night involved the unveiling of Phillip Bauer as a major league baddie and President Wayne Palmer’s decision to again reject presidential advisor Thomas Lennox’s plan for Muslim internment camps.  Also we saw the introduction of Vice President Noah Daniels and the extension of the relationship and associated baggage between Jack and Graem’s wife Marilyn, and the influence that Sandra Palmer has over her brother Wayne in terms of decision making.

The best news from last night’s airing is that next week we get two full hours on Monday night - typically these multi-hour installments are action packed and move the storyline forward significantly.

Before we get into ”my things for this week”, please allow me to take a

VICTORY LAP FOR MY PREDICTION ABOUT MORRIS AND THE NUKES

Now my things for this week…

• Walid’s place in this story is far from over.  Look for both Walid and Hamri Al-Assad to be brought back into the story.  Possibly in advisory roles to President Palmer.  Except one of them will turn out to be something other than what they have represented so far.  Is it Walid - he’s been so docile.  Could it be that he knew all along that the Muslims he was held with were posers and he used his offer to help spy on them as a way to ingratiate himself with President Palmer?
• As for Al-Assad, will he get close to the President and through some bizarre twist with Phillip Bauer establish a Chinese - Terrorist connection?
• There’s still the backstory with Marilyn and Jack.  As I’ve said in previous posts, could it be that Josh is really Jack and Marilyn’s love child?
• Look for former President Logan to be brought back into the story through the Chinese connection.  Could it be that President Palmer agreed to trade Logan for Jack’s release by the Chinese?
• Now that Morris is not working protocols at CTU, look for Nadia to become more actively involved (and don’t forget that Milo gave her access to his password on the system… there’s something there.)
