No coincidence

Today’s news briefs brought to light two unfortunate situations: Dennis Kucinich being appointed to the chairmanship of a congressional subcommittee designed by liberals to stifle individual liberty and the moving forward of the Doomsday Clock.  On the surface these two actions might seem mutually exclusive, but don’t be mistaken - this is no coincidence.

Prodded by an increase in global hostilities and Al Gore’s gloom and doom scenario for the future, the academy of scientists who once fueled nuclear proliferation wound the spring of their Doomsday Day Clock and advanced its hands two minutes closer to midnight.  While the clock was once tied only to the question of a global nuclear winter, factors such as environmental decimation and global poverty have now been added to the Bulletin of Nuclear Scientists’ determinants for timing of the end of the world.  The clock now stands at 11:55pm.

In a related story, Conman Dennis Kucinich has been tapped by his liberal colleagues in the congress to lead the House Government Reform and Oversight subcommittee on domestic policy.  This new subcommittee will focus on issues such as reinstating the “Fairness Doctrine” so that folks like Kucinich will be

given airtime to refute all of the jokes currently being made about him on talk radio nationwide.  Rumor has it that this new version of the Fairness Doctrine will be applied on the CBS Evening News by simply removing Katie Couric from the air and replacing her with former interim anchor Bob Schieffer.

How are these stories related and not coincidental?

It can only be assumed that we are nearing the end of the world when Dennis Kucinich is given any level of power and responsibility.  God help us all.
