I wanted to share a portion of an email that I received this afternoon with you because it’s fairly indicative of what’s been showing up in the mailbag over the last two weeks:
What’s with you and Gilmore? If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were on his payroll. Didn’t you say after […]

News that Joe Biden has decided to join the “crazy club” (Conman Kucinich and Mike Gravel) for a FOX-sponsored debate in September. Proving once again that the senator from Delaware will go anywhere anyone is willing to listen to him. No word yet on whether anyone will actually attend the debate to listen.
Which […]

Last week we discussed Speaker of State Nancy Pelosi’s vehement disagreement during an appearance on ABC’s This Week that the 110th Congress which she oversees is a “do nothing Congress”. The question was framed by the lack of success Ms. Pelosi’s House has had in enacting anything of substance during her first 4 months in […]

News today that Alaska (along with Georgia) has decided to move up on the presidential primary calendar to February 5th which is now shaping up to be “mega-colossal, extra-improved, less fattening, tastes great Super Tuesday“.
Perhaps there is a chance for crazy Alaskan Mike Gravel after all.
No news yet on whether or not Ohio will move […]

It’s apparent that former Virginia Governor and current GOP presidential candidate Jim Gilmore’s appearance on last Sunday’s ABC This Week is having some impact. Site traffic and searches on his name to this page have increased significantly over the last two weeks, and now we have (”leaked”) news today that FRED Thompson is […]

…one piece at a time.
I wasn’t surprised the other day when I learned that the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is planning to sell the naming rights to the Euclid Corridor. In this age where everything from the hood of a race car to the sleeve of your favorite athlete is adorned with a corporate […]

… they go and do something smart.
Granted it took a TV station in a foreign land to put a hit out on Hugo Chavez, but hey you gotta give these guys their props…
Of course the Contrived News Network (CNN) couldn’t resist including itself in those targeted by the Venezuelan authorities. Yeah those folks in […]

Apparently Cindy Sheehan has quit her quixotic vigil against the Bush administration and the Iraq War. According to a post yesterday on the DailyKos entitled “Good Riddance Attention Whore”…
…well that about says it all.
Sheehan and good friend Hugo Chavez during better days
I could elaborate, but it would detract from the catchy title of her […]

Politics are a fickle business. Quite often the people we want to run aren’t interested (think of Colin Powell in 1996), need to be convinced (Barry Goldwater in 1964), or do run and prove to be something other than anticipated (Ross Perot every time). In the 2008 presidential race on the Republican side […]

Just by chance I caught former Virginia Governor and 2008 GOP presidential hopeful Jim Gilmore on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
The conversation was thoughtful and engaging, and Gilmore did his best to relay his strong conservative resume. The video is available here - you can find it on the list of available videos […]
