One of the most recognizable voices of a non-performing individual who operated with equal ease in Hollywood and Washington DC, Jack Valenti passed away yesterday as the result of a recent stroke.
Valenti - a WWII flying ace turned Texas-based ad man, loaded on a plane with Lyndon Johnson immediately following the Kennedy assassination and never looked back. He went from Johnson aide to to head of the Motion Picture Association of America and is known as the creator of the MPAA’s movie rating system.
